The well-loved documentary about BLAST members Ruth Berman and Connie Kurtz has been expanded with new footage, and is being shown as part of the Palm Beach Jewish Film Festival as a recognition and celebration of June as LGBT Pride month.
They're Jewish, they're grandmothers, and they're lesbians. Deborah Dickson's powerful and intimate documentary, first shot in 2002, has been expanded and now includes footage following their legal marriage in New York City. This is a powerful film of their 52+ years together - first as friends and neighbors, then as long-term lovers and activists, and finally now as legally married spouses.
