"It's Meetup's mistake, if you went to the 92Y site you would know what our policy is..." Andrew Dainoff, General Manager 92Y Tribeca

I was very disappointed tonight after traveling down to Tribeca to attend the Y+30, to which I had RSVP'd, that I was told to go home. Even though there were empty seats, and it was 45 minutes into the event, I was told that any available seats could not be given to me.

What really upset me, though, was how rudely I was treated by Mr. Dainoff and by the staff at the front desk. They clearly did not care that I expected my RSVP to mean something and that traveling back-and-forth to Tribeca was an inconvience for me.

The 92Y has cultivated an amazing reputation as a great institution and part of the community. My brief experience tonight with the management of the Tribeca location undid in minutes, what took years to build.
