Pretty nice people. Surprised avowed atheist new nothing of humanistic thought. There was one professor who seemed pretty dismissive about any ideas he hadn't heard about. Not much it seemed for an in depth discussion on the definition of god. Felt a little Richard Dawkin vibe going but for the most part people where friendly and discussed interesting things. Although, being empiricist and atheist who avow critical thinking I am still surprised no one had heard of Humanism. It seemed a little strange.

Very nice to meet everyone! I live in Decatur so I won't be able to attend as often as I'd like.

Our group offers a means of purging Fear, Superstition and Ignorance ... the three main components of organized religion. We are still, to the surprise of many, very different, independent and diverse. That is good.

I had a great meet-up with this group. I sought out and found exactly what I was looking for... Profound, and certainly deep enough... I wish I could get past the fact that I'm looking into and indeed beyond my own insights into what we call 'Life' once in a while... and I feel like the problem I face is at the very least solved, or if not quite yet, solvable.

This group provides a chance to get to converse with other Freethinkers in a non-judgmental atmosphere. It's lively and intellectually stimulating!

We are here to listen to everyones problems they have had with religion. In the past we have felt that we were all alone as nonbelievers. we are now finding out that there are quitte a few of us out there and we need support in our antireligious beliefs. We hope to help people know it is alright to be nonreligious.

There is a great variety of people. It is a supportive and affirmative atmosphere where agreement is not a requirement to understanding others.
