  • Level 4/5 Night Ride. 26 miles.
Roll out at 6:45pm. Try to arrive 15 minutes early to give yourself enough time for those last minute preparations. This will be the 26 mile BOBies Night Ride. The BOBie Cycling Club invites everyone to join our rides. Ride with us as often and as long as you want, but we ask that if you feel cycling is a fun sport and our group/club is a good fit for you, consider joining the BOBie Cycling Club. Premium Membership Benefits include: Club Rider insurance, Discounts at Incycle Bicycles, Annual Picnic lunch ticket and MORE!! https://bobie.org/membership/premium-membership-benefits/ RAIN CANCELS RIDE Please be courteous to your fellow riders and be ready to roll at 5:30PM sharp. The terrain is VERY FLAT but there may be wind and the ride distance is nearly 26.5 miles. ************************************ As with all BOBie rides this is a "NO DROP" ride. We will stop as needed to regroup, in addition to one scheduled at Hero's Park Safety and riding in groups will be our main goal to give us greater visibility when in traffic. ***************** IMPORTANT ******************** Front and Rear lights are mandatory... minimum of 500 lumens recommended for the front and substantial rear lights. Additional ankle, side and rear helmet lights are HIGHLY encouraged!!!! All Riders MUST bring their own supplies for flat tire repair. No worries, we will lend a hand if needed. Bringing $$ or a credit card to pay for any unexpected expenses such as bike repairs or transportation home is highly recommended. By not having any way to cover unplanned expenses when something goes wrong YOU shift that financial burden to those that are riding with you or create a situation where you are left stranded, which can lead to awkward feelings. Helmets are mandatory on all BOBIE rides. Bring hydration, spare tube, nutrition and appropriate clothing to be comfortable during the entire ride. (The weather can and will change during the ride). Please be sure to bring a "Road ID" or similar up to date IN CASE OF EMERGENCY INFO list with you on all BOBIE rides to allow others to help you if you are unable to help yourself. Note: Rain will cancel this ride. DISCLAIMER: By being a member of this group or signing up for OR attending any BOBIE RIDE, EVENT OR Function you hereby agree to assume all risks and liability related to or resulting from any and all group functions. You agree that neither you nor any third party will hold any of the group's leaders or representatives liable for any injury, loss, or damage to your own person or any members of your family, friends, acquaintances, children, pets, or property, arising directly or as a consequence from a group activity. You also agree that your membership of this group is based on an "at will" basis. IMPORTANT: If you are running a couple of minutes late I suggest you CALL the ride leader to see if they can wait for you. (Texting or MeetUp Messaging notifications are sometimes slow or hard to hear in the Pre Ride environment.) Please acquire the ride leaders phone number well ahead of time and keep it in your phone for this and other urgent matters!

  • Christmas Night Ride with Lights, Decorations, and Music
6th ANNUAL CHRISTMAS LIGHTS NIGHT RIDE - FUN FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY! 5 miles of incredible decorations and friendly folks! Come join our annual BIKE TRAIN through Chino's well-known neighborhoods decorated elaborately for Christmas. This will be our 6th year and it's a lot of fun. Could be a cold night, so remember to bundle up! Feel free to pump out your own Christmas Tunes as we make our way to and from our destination. Lots of the homes have incredible lights and sound of their own too! *** UPDATE *** When we roll along King Street there will be folks selling hot cocoa & cider, and cookies. If interested, bring some jingle for this treat stop! We have also been invited to stop for some complimentary refreshments elsewhere on our route! LIGHTS, CAMERA, and SLOW ACTION…Bring Your Slow Bike! We highly recommend you wrap your bike and yourself (safely), and your helmet with some fun holiday lights. Feel free to bring your hybrid, tandem, commuter, or other casual bike as there will be lots of slow riding and stops. There will be lots of pedestrians and very slow moving cars in this residential neighborhood, but we will ALL be travelling slowly. Please remember to have strong HEAD AND TAIL LIGHTS so we can easily be seen! Feel free to contact me if you have any questions! Janet[masked] Check out last year's Photo Album for ideas on lighting up your bikes! https://www.meetup.com/BOBie_Cycling_Club/photos/all_photos/?photoAlbumId=28383087 PARKING: Please be courteous to the Starbucks customers by parking close to the CENTER OF THE PARKING LOT. * * * * * * Helmets are mandatory on all BOBIE rides.
