About a mile away from Yorba Park.
The 6th Annual Boonies to the Beach Bike Ride starts and ends at Yorba Park located along the Santa Ana River. It consists of a 17-mile Fun Ride, a 40-mile Adventure Ride, and a 60-mile Hammer-fest. This rides backdrop not only includes 175 acres of regional land and an up-close view of the Santa Ana River, it also takes you past Angels Stadium and the Honda Center.
Six years ago, Costco Wholesale Warehouse Manager, Sean Mackin, father to a former patient of a Childrens Miracle Network Hospital and adventurous cyclist, had the idea to ride in honor of kids who werent well enough to do so themselves. Anyone who knows Sean, our eternal optimist, has heard, there isnt anything we cant make happen. It is with this same dedication that the Childrens Miracle Network Hospitals strive to improve the lives of millions of children each year and it is in honor of those kids that we ride.
On behalf of Childrens Miracle Network Hospitals, and beneficiary hospital, Children's Hospital Los Angeles, we would like to thank you for your generosity and invite any and all riders to come out and enjoy the view from the boonies of Yorba Park to Newport Beach. Our goal is to enjoy the ride so that one day, kids can be well enough to ride too.
