Class description: BACHATA is one of the two national styles of Dance & Music of the Dominican Republic. Although Bachata has been especially popular in the countryside or more rural regions of the Dominican Republic it has now grown to be an international sensation! This is music with a more melancholy beat and 4/4 time, and it talks mostly about life in the country, heartbreak and relationships between men and women.
Attire: It is preferred that you wear dance shoes if you have them otherwise you can wear any shoe with a leather or suede sole bottom. If you are taking level 1, dance shoes are mandatory (no sneakers or sandals) and bring a change of shirts with stretch pants.
Length & Pricing: 60 minutes / $20
This class will meet once a week every Saturday from 4:30pm-5:30pm for six weeks. If you check our class schedule we may have other Bachata classes featured on a different day/time/level so check us out at www.pielcaneladancers.com/ClassSchedule
