• LogiCal-LA Fundraiser Gathering and dinner with several of our speakers

As you might already know, there is a wave of anti-science growing in the US. We have the greatest number of citizens who believe in Creationism compared to most countries. Others think that GMO food is not healthy, and our measles outbreak is growing because of the anti-vax movement. We need to help others learn what is scientifically proven to be true and to reduce the "woo", (non-science based beliefs such as acupuncture and homeopathy) in our society. One way to do this is to support the pubic education of science, which is the goal of the LogiCal-LA conferences. Please help support this endeavor. _______________________________________________ To help the LogiCal-LA conference continue, we are having a special dinner from 4:30pm - 6:00pm this Saturday before our LogiCal-LA conference. for a limited number of BYS members. This includes an all-you-can-eat dinner, wine and soft drinks. You'll receive some one-on-one time with the hand-picked speakers from the LogiCal-LA conference. Cost is $50. Make your reservations here: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/logical-la-2019-conference-for-scientific-skeptics-and-critical-thinkers-tickets-61741096281 After the dinner we are having a special fundraiser/social gathering at 6:15pm. The speakers from the dinner will also be in attendance. Whether it's $10, $100 or more, come join us some of the people who share our goal of more science-based education and less woo. Enjoy sharing their knowledge through interesting conversation and dialogue. If you have been at our house before, please park on Blueridge just south of our residence. Newbies can park in our parking lot. Call Bruce if you can't find us. [masked] LogiCal-LA is part of the Freethought Alliance which is a 501C3 non-profit organization and relies only on donations to support our two conferences: LogiCal-LA and the Freethought Alliance conference. 100% of all donation go directly to support our conferences. There are zero administration fees.
