UPDATE: Just a reminder that the September meeting will take place Saturday, September 21st. The meeting will take place at the Columbia Memorial Space Center (12400 Columbia Way, Downey, CA 90242). The doors will open at 6:45pm. The meeting will begin at 7pm and end at 9:00pm.
This month's meeting will include a special guest from JPL, Mark Wilson. Mark will be talking about InSight, NASA's next mission to Mars as well as answering any questions you may have. We'll also have a Sky Report and our after-meeting star party so don't forget to bring your telescopes!
The Columbia Memorial Space Center is welcoming aspiring astronomers of all ages to join us for our monthly Astronomy Club meetings. These meetings will include a fascinating program about the night sky and a chance for members and guests to get together and talk about all things astronomy. These meetings will also provide information on how to pick the proper telescope, how to use a telescope, how to build a telescope and how to identify different celestial objects.
$2 at the door.
Doors open at 6:45pm and meeting starts at 7pm.
Meetings are held on the third Saturday each month from 7-9pm.
