Get Ready-Get Set-Join Us the New Years 2019 The Bagley Community Running Club
This running club is for both runners and walkers. We are a friendly and inclusive group of people that enjoy running/walking and being social. We would like to establish a weekly running/walking schedule to meet the needs of our members. We would like to hear from you. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org and post your availability. We will like "you, family and friends in the Bagley Area or surrounding community to email your email address/phone number so we can invite you to a Meet & Greet in February, 2019 at Marygrove College.
The Following Schedule is a TENTATIVE SCHEDULE/SAMPLE of what we propose: Monday evening at 7:00 p.m. and meet at the Marygrove College Campus Parking Lot near the guard station (1 mile, 2 miles, 3 miles, or 5 miles); Wednesday evening at 7:00 p.m. meet at Good Cakes & Bakes on Livernois (4 or 6 miles); and Saturday morning at the Bagley Elementary School at 9:00 a.m. (1 mile, 2 miles, 3 miles, 5 miles, Long Runs). Our members use the discussion board and calendar to schedule additional runs. We have runners preparing for races at almost all distances and some that run for fun.
On Tuesday night we go to Bucharest for post-run food and beverages, and on Saturday we meet at Bigby or Kuzzo's for post-run coffee. All are welcome and the invitation is always open to socialize after the run!
We start as a group and finish in the same spot so there is plenty of time to socialize. We don't really run as one large group. Usually everyone finds someone to partner off and run with. It happens organically. You have to come a few times to really see how it works and sort of just "trust" the process. You'll end up with different people on different days. Sometimes you might run alone and that's okay too! Our runners have a variety of paces. We don't do time trials, but you will easily find people to run at a pace of 7, 8, 9, and 10 minute miles.
Feel free to signup and take a look around our page to determine if our group will work for you.
Please include a photo of yourself so that we can welcome you to the group when we see you. It also helps to know what you look like when we meetup at running events around town. We look forward to running with you soon!
