What we’re about
We are WOMEN Baby Boomers. Most of us were born generally between 1946-1966 (+/-) who want to enjoy life and build lasting friendships. We are single, single again, married or widowed, either working or retired, with many of us having grown children, and many of us have grandchildren as well!
Most of our events take place in the Charlotte, Ballantyne, Matthews, Fort Mill and Indian Land areas for a variety of meetups to include plays, brunch, happy hour, wine tastings, museums, movies, dinner, etc. Day trips to the mountains and other places of interest, along with specialty events throughout the year are planned to ensure our members always have fun and memorable times with each other.
OUR MEMBERSHIP GUIDELINES INCLUDE:
- Membership is limited -- we keep our group small in order to form lasting relationships
- Our group has an annual dues policy of $20, which covers the utilization of the Meetup.com and other miscellaneous costs incurred throughout the year. This fee is due within 30 days of your approval as a member. DUES ARE NOT REFUNDABLE.
- Each member is asked to actively participate as their schedule permits, join the waitlist if needed, and maintain a current RSVP for all events. It is important that members read their emails frequently to keep current on the events we have planned.
REMEMBER, WE WANT TO KNOW YOU ALSO, SO PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU HAVE:
- Provided a current profile photo (with your face displayed and no sunglasses-- REQUIRED )
- Included your complete first and last names
- Made your meetup profile PUBLIC, so the approval committee can review
- Completely answered all the questions asked for in the membership application and when you receive an email or Meetup message from us, you answer providing further information we request for consideration as a new member. (It is important that you access your email often so you don't miss a message from us.)
Prospective members will not be considered for membership until you have answered all our questions/responded to our emails, you have made your profile PUBLIC, posted a profile photo (facial) and we can see who you are; this avoids future issues.
The Boomer Babes of The Queen City is a terrific group of women who embrace life knowing the great joy of real friendship!
