What draws you to steampunk?

I have been admiring Steampunk fashion for several years, while researching costume ideas for live theatre projects I was working on and some of my friends are involved with the Steampunk scene on the West Coast. More recently, I discovered an exciting and evolving new music genre in Steampunk, via the online radio show, "Sounds Of Steam," hosted by Travis Sivart. I attended Steampunk at Gettysburg and simply fell in love with everything, from the unique crafts and literature, to the music, and especially the people! I can't get enough Steampunk!

Conventions, Festivals, Music, Performance

What's your favorite steampunk themed movie/book/comic/game?
