    Wegman's Hunt Valley

What is an atheist? Anyone who does not have a significant belief in the existence of any gods. This meetup group includes and welcomes atheists, agnostics, freethinkers, secularists, humanists, skeptics, rationalists, or any other assorted label. That includes those who disagree with us -- but expect a lively argument! We are a friendly group and love to meet new attendees. So come and join us for conversations on various topics: atheism, agnosticism, secularism, skepticism, science, politics, human rights, the environment, the culture and media, entertainment, books, sci-fi, food, and anything else you can think of. This is a casual social gathering to meet people and chat. There is no agenda. If you have ideas on how to promote atheism and such in this town, or want to work on that project, by all means let us know. This meeting occurs on the first Saturday of every month in a location outside of Baltimore. We also have meet ups inside the City. Check our full schedule for more information.

  • 'Hail Satan?' documentary at Parkway

    Parkway Theatre

'Hail Satan?' is a documentary about the Satanic Temple opening at the Parkway Friday 5/17/19 and running through 5/23/19. This announcement is to highlight a documentary that might be of interest. I am unable to commit to a specific date/time to run an organized viewing together - if anybody would like to volunteer I will update this info. If you are able to see it, it would be fun to discuss at our next Meetup on the 21st at Mt. Vernon Marketplace! Description of the movie: What is the Satanic Temple? Is it religion? A cult? Performance art? Acclaimed filmmaker Penny Lane gains unprecedented access to this enigmatic movement, which has grown to over 100,000 members around the world in just five years. HAIL SATAN? explores the Temple’s fight for equality, its focus on community, and its devilish sense of humor. In an era when founding principles and institutions can’t be trusted to work on behalf of all people, these progressive Satanic crusaders advocate to save the soul of a nation.
