Formally known as Women of Color, Sistahs of Pride is a community for existing and newly-identified sexual minority women of color, empowered in their sexuality, displaying established healthy and productive relationships with themselves and other members of the community. We are a discussion/social group for women who identify within the LGBTQ spectrum, ages 21 and up.
We meet face-to-face every 2nd, 4th, and 5th Thursday of each month at the GLCCB. (Gay and Lesbian Community Center of Baltimore, 1000 Cathedral Street inside The Waxter Center) Our group is one of the longest tenured groups at the center. We've been around since 1989.
Sistahs of Pride is committed to the cultural, educational, spiritual, economic, and social empowerment of sexual minority women of color. We are dedicated to advocacy for lesbian/bi/transgender/queer rights through holistic objectives that use open discussion along with workshops and events that empower and make well the lives of sexual minority women of color.
*Please note: we are an active group and we do have an attendance policy. Attendance at a meetup is required within 3 months of you joining us.
