What we're about

Most people think of Quakers as the guy on the Quaker Oats box. They wore grey, they weren't alowed to sing or have fun, and they died out many years ago. But Quakerism is alive and well and is a really interesting spiritual tradition that you might want to find out about. Formally called "The Religious Society of Friends", or Friends for short, Quakers have a form of silent worship (at least around here) and a belief that there is "that of God" (some spark of divinity) in each person that each of us can listen to for guidance and comfort. For more information about Quakers, see https://www.fgcquaker.org/explore/faqs-about-quakers .

This meetup will provide opportunities to learn about Quakerism and activities to participate in the Quaker community in the Baltimore area.
