If you could photograph 1 celebrity or person , who would it be?

I'm not huge into celebrities, so, I'll go with the star of photos that I take with people in them, as the majority of them feature my nephew who is 2 and a half years old. I have thoroughly enjoyed capturing his life, day by day, month by month, year by year, through my photos!

What type of photography do you enjoy?

I particularly like landscape photography and pictures of flowers. I also like to take pictures of animals/pets (my 3 dogs are also starts in the pictures that I have taken).

what inspired you to take up photography?

My Dad used to shoot weddings when I was younger and had taught me a little bit about photography when I was growing up. He took a ton of pictures of my sister and I in various poses with flowers and by windows when we were little - some of which I still have. I also remember many Kodak photography books that he had in our library which I used to look at when I was younger - there was one with rainbow photography which I used to love reading at like 10 years old. So, when my high school started a photography class in 1998 (my senior year), I jumped at the opportunity to take that class, and, the rest is history!!

What do you think about when you pick up your camera ?

I think about what creativity I can add or pick up in my next shot. I try to have an idea in my head when I start taking pictures, although a lot of times I find myself running to grab the camera so I can take pictures of my dogs when they are being insane!

What do you hope to accomplish/learn from this group?

I feel like you can never "know everything", so I look forward to learning anything and everything that I can to help me with my photography!

Hi Everyone! My name is Monique, everyone calls me Mo for short. I am a CPA by day and I have many interests in my "off" time, photography being one of my biggest, which I have decided to become more serious about in 2012!
