12 Months of Fresh Fruit, Saturday 7/20 10am-noon, South Bay Botanic Garden at Southwestern College
Ben Kotnik from Suburban Food Farm and Chairman of the San Diego Chapter of the California Rare Fruit Growers will present a workshop on how to grow and harvest fresh fruit from your backyard all year long. Ben brings a natural approach to gardening and landscape design and has designed properties small and large. Come take part in this exciting workshop tailored to our climate and soils in San Diego. Many of the plants and trees to be discussed are featured in the 4-acre South Bay Botanic Garden, so you will be able to see what these plants look like, how to care for them, etc.
There is a $10 donation to support local garden outreach in our schools and communities and space is limited to 40 people. Parking is free in Lot "E" which is adjacent to the Garden.
