What is your favorite food you want to grow?

corn. Haven't been able to grow any decent corn since I left Iowa! Don't have a lot of space or the right area with good soil for it though.

Are you an experienced organic gardener or a beginner?

I'm not experiences but I wouldn't call myself a beginner either. Middle of the road....I grew up in Iowa and we always gardened there. Have lived in SD for 26 yrs now and have raised my kids with the theory that if they help plant, tend, pick and cook it...they are more likely to eat it. That worked out pretty well! We have raised garden boxes, but still have big problems with bad soil, way too many eager gophers etc. Am using whisky barrels for berry plants and potatoes too now. My garden is on partial hiatus at the moment but I'm ready to get back to it!

What club activities are you interested in? Lectures? Hands on projects? Garden days? Or?

I'm interested in lectures and hands on projects.

Do you have a space to garden? Or are you looking to find one? Or do you want to find somebody to garden for and/or with you?

I have a garden space at my home.

Which area/city do you live in?

La Mesa/ Mt. Helix area

I live in the Mt. Helix area and have loved gardening since I was a child in Iowa. My kids played a big role in our garden when they were little. My background is in public health and I'm hoping we will see more little green thumbs in the world!!
