We're holding this first event in association with Beaglesloft, (http://www.beaglesloft.com) the playground for innovators in the heart of Bangalore.
This workshop is for anyone interested in developing innovative solutions to social problems.
You can be from any background. Student, Corporate, Development sector, Social Entrepreneurship, Design, Engineering - everyone is welcome.
There will be refreshments available throughout.
For the first event:
Hard start at 6 pm
• Sreechand, from the leading social enterprise Essmart Global will present the problem they are attempting to tackle (Last Mile Distribution) along with key data points.
• Mukesh, an experienced design thinking practitioner, will then facilitate a guided design thinking workshop in which you generate ideas, imagine prototypes and eventually attempt to validate a solution to the aspect of problem you and your group have chosen.
• Then as a community we will critically discuss the solutions each group has developed, Sreechand will also talk about how Essmart Global has specifically tackled the issue.
• Finally, we'll talk about what social problem each participant is interested in tackling and how they might start on that journey.
The purpose of this Meetup is to build a community committed to pursuing social change through innovation and entrepreneurship over time.
We will hold a series of at least 4 connected events (although you can join at any time) which will lead up to - and follow on from - a Social Innovation themed Startup Weekend in April 2015.
We hope to see all of you on the 6th of December at Beaglesloft and then again for future events. Stay tuned.
