  • We had a great meetup last time at Bistro 33 - it was nice and quiet, so let's meet there again.

Bring a piece of writing - anything you're working on or something finished (even better) and be prepared for chat and constructive criticism. The best thing would be to have a paper copy for each meetup member so we can write on it, but if you can't do that, then 3-4 copies will be fine. The more copies your bring the more likely it is everyone will get a chance to read your story. Also, please try to bring something no longer than 5000 words.
You can also upload your story so we can read it in advance. Look under the Key-Bangers logo, click on More, then Files and look for Upload a File (right hand corner).

If you're planning to come but you're not sure about the place or how to find us, send me a PM and I'll give you my number. I hope to see you there.

Walk-in directions to THE BISTRO 33:

Take the BTS to Phrom Phong station and get down at exit 5. Then continue walking down Sukhumvit road until you get to soi 33. Walk down the soi about 100 meters until you see The Bistro 33 Restaurant sign on the right. Turn right and walk down about 30 meters.

Feeling less depressed, I completed my story about the House. Yesterday, I attempted to print and upload it. I lost my internet connection at home. Today, I brought my laptop to the coffee shop to upload it. My laptop will not connect, though my 'phone will. Now I am depressed again

Hey guys. I'm not going to be able to make it tomorrow. My book is out and I'm swamped with trying to figure out how to market it. That means I unfortunately won't see you all again for some time, since I'm heading to Vietnam again at the end of the month. I wanted to thank you all for your help with improving my story. Your advice has been invaluable. Take care!

I just had a look at your book on Amazon. You did it, man! Congrats! Loving the font. :)

Fair warning guys, I *might* not make it to this. I'm thinking I should cancel my RSVP so someone else can come. I'm just buried in work right now, and I love these meetings but they tend to pretty much wipe out my most of my day. :-/ (which is normally a GOOD thing and much needed, but I'm super-behind on my writing deadline right now).

It's up to you JC, but :(

Yeah, I've been wrestling with it for the past few days. I might take off my RSVP and then try to stop by at least. That way someone else can have my slot.

How's everyone? Here comes the reminder to upload your story if you want. Steve, I saw your story is up, nice name btw. :) Giles, Riven, Emad, welcome to the group! What do you guys write?

Hi guys. Great seeing everyone yesterday and reading the stories. Thank you for the feedback on mine. I forgot to ask, would it be ok to change the meetup day to Saturday, December 10? AV Scott wants to join us (see comments below) but she can't do Sundays. Not trying to make this permanent unless it's best for everyone, so let's decide on the next meetup first. Please let me know in a comment.

Sorry Steve, it's Sunday. I would have changed the meetup details if it was another day.

Yes. But only when hubby is home. Sorry. Sunday is family day with the little one.

So Saturday is ok but sometimes you may not be able to come (if your husband is not free). Did I get that right?
