We will return to Pak Nam for our second walk of the year but this time we will cross the river to an island called Phra Chedi Klang Nam (which means chedi in the middle of the water) where the Phra Samut Chedi is located. This ancient temple was built 1827–1828 by King Buddha Loetla Nabhalai (Rama II) and remains a great of example of temple architecture of that period. The island is also home to the Phi Suea Samut Fort, built in 1819 now manned by the royal Thai Navy. The island a very large green space away from the city haze so it offers a great getaway for our walk this month. This area is still relatively unexplored along the Chao Praya River so It is a great addition to our photo walks. So save the date and join us as we walk on our 80th photo walk...

I will post a map to the station and the station....

Just as we did last month, we will start at the newly opened Pak Nam BTS station on the Sukumvit Line. We will meet on the platform just past the ticket booth at the sign for exit #4 at 8 am. Do not go down to the street.

I will post a map to the Pak Nam station....

See you all then..
