• Wat Makok Photo Walk #77 • Nov 11, 2018 @ 8am
Here is the answer to the mystery! We will meet on the platform of the Victory Monument BTS Station. Go out Exit #3 and walk towards the monument, we will meet at the first left turn of the platform. DO NOT GO DOWN TO THE STREET... From here we will visit the area that is famous for its "boat noodles", of course the boats are long gone but the noodles live on...we will make our way through the community along the Samsen Canal until we reach Wat Makok (Wat Makok is also known Wat Apai Tharam) ,where we will spend some time before continuing through the community. The final destination of this walk is a treat for all including most Thais who have never visited the Phya Thai Palace. This beautifully restored King's residence has a rich history all the way back to King Rama 6 who was born in 1880 and reigned over Thailand from 1910 to 1925. This palace started as farm and later became a complete small city called Dusit Thani under his direction. We hope you will join us for this unique walk which will continue to be a mystery if you do not...See you on Sunday!!! DK Khattiya, Goran Ehren and Dennie Cody

Of course, we recommend that you take both (a 2 day discount is available) In Part 2, we will move beyond the basics into the advanced development capabilities of both software programs. Part 2 is for those who take Part 1 or who have taken our previous Lightroom workshops and understand the system for organizing as well as the basic tools for enhancement. If you have not been in one of our classes but have been working in Lightroom, we will ask for confirmation of your skill level in Lightroom/Photoshop. We will focus on helping you increase your skill set in both Lightroom and Photoshop. There will be three (3) instructors as Paul Lukin will join DK and I, as we study masking techniques, gradients, adjustment brushes, color adjustments, adjustment layers, content aware, cloning, healing and the multitude of options available in both of these software as well a the NIK software. We will be using a systematic approach to post processing in both Lightroom and Photoshop as well as our unique individual methods. We will work 'hands on" with the editing techniques that you will want to use to enhance your images. By the end of the day, you should understand and know how to apply the more advanced tools in Lightroom and Photoshop to create images that stand out from the crowd You will need a working version of both Lightroom CC Classic and Photoshop CC 2018 installed in your laptop with an operating system capable of handling these programs. • Bang Plad Photo Walk #75 • Sunday September 9, 2018 8 am
Our walk #75 Bang Plad will begin at the small pier at Wat Awut Wikasitaran across the river from the Payap Pier N18 on the Chao Phraya River Express boat. We will begin our meeting at the small pier so you will need to cross the river on ferry boat at the Payap Pier to the small pier. YOU MUST PLAN AHEAD TO JOIN THIS WALK!!!! Please READ the following carefully: We suggest 3 options for getting to this meeting point and I list them in order of preference: A) Take a taxi from your home to Payap Pier. This will be the quickest and most expensive. Depending on where you live, it should be as little as 30 minutes in Sunday morning traffic. (NOTE: If you take a taxi from your home to Payap Pier, you still have to take the cross river ferry to the Tonburi side of the river where we will meet...unless you live on the Tonburi side then you can take a taxi to Wat Awut Wikasitaran.) B) Catch the #14 bus at Victory Monument (or some place before that if you search the route) The bus will take you within two blocks of the Payap Pier. Get off and walk to the pier and take the ferry across the river to the small pier at Wat Awut Wikasitaran. This will be the second fastest way to get there and less expensive than a taxi. This should take you about an hour with the transfers etc. C) Go to Saphan Taksin BTS and catch the Chao Phraya River Express boat with the Orange Flag. This is the slowest way but cheap. It will take you at least an hour and half to get there on the boat and maybe more if you miss the boat and have to wait for the next one. We do not recommend this option. You still have to take the cross river ferry to the Tonburi side of the river where we will meet If you fail to arrive on time because you did not read this then there will be very little sympathy for you. If you arrive on time, we will have a great walk as usual with many interesting sights and friendly people in the neighbourhoods we will visit so set the alarm get up and get there on time. We hope to see everyone at the walk…Lets have fun….
