If you are interested in becoming more involved with the Bangkok Vegan Meet Up, please scroll down for more information.
What's Vegan Drinks? An informal meeting of vegans and non-vegans interested in meeting others with similar interests for education and fun. Please note, this is not a singles night, rather it is an opportunity to meet other like-minded people for friendship, support and camaraderie. If you *do* find true love at one of our vegan drinks, then we'd love an invite to the wedding. :-)
Can I come to a vegan drinks on my own? Of course! Find the group and the host (she'll be wearing some sort of vegan tshirt) for a name sticker, introduce yourself and sit down.
Do I need to RSVP to attend Bangkok Vegan Drinks? No. It is as simple as showing up. If you want to RSVP yes, you can, but you won't be marked as a no-show if you don't show up for vegan drinks.
Can I arrive later/earlier/any time I like? Of course! Bangkok Vegan Drinks is a no pressure environment where you can arrive when you choose, leave when you choose and stay for as long as it suits you. We hope people will stick around for a while, but I guess if you leave it too long to arrive there might be noone left especially in the early days as we establish Vegan Drinks and numbers might be smaller. The host is an early to bed early to rise, so if you arrive too late, then you might miss it completely!
Note for Vegan Non-Drinkers: You are welcome to come! Please grab a juice or a soda and mingle!
Note for Non-Vegans: You're more than welcome, too! Its a great alternative way to learn more about veganism at your own pace and with a drink in your hand. Of course our hope is always that we can turn new people onto being vegan, but you can choose the level of vegan banter by politely excusing yourself from any conversation that you're not comfortable being in!
What's the venue about? Broccoli Revolution is a lovely vegan restaurant which has a huge mixture of drinks wine, beer, spirits and cocktails. Of course, they have appetizers which work well as a bar menu.
We are looking for new organisers for the Bangkok Vegan Meet Up! Sadly, Shari left BKK in June and Jennifer recently moved. So we need your help to take the Bangkok Vegan Meet Up to the NEXT LEVEL!!!
There are so many events that we want to do, but sadly the current organisers just don’t have the time to fit them all into their schedule! We need YOU to help the Bangkok Vegan Movement grow bigger!
Being involved as an organiser is fun, social and incredibly rewarding. Please note, if you have business or commercial interests and would like to use the Bangkok Vegan Meet Up platform as a way to promote and advertise these interests, please contact Brighde for ways you can do this.
If you are known to the current organisers, you are a reliable, organised person and are interested, please contact Brighde and Cristina. If you aren’t known to us but would like to be more involved, join us at a couple of Meetups so we can get to know you!
We are looking for some people to take responsibility for and host regular meetups and help with administration and helping making vegan living more accessible here in Bangkok and promoting veganism.
Here are just some of our ideas that we need people for!
Helping Ommera with the monthly Move and Breakfast Meet Up
Someone with a suitable venue for a more regular vegan potluck
Hosting film / documentary screenings
Translation of English into Thai and vice versa to help grow resources for activism and outreach purposes
Getting guest speakers when they are in town
Out of town excursions
Veganpreneur Mastermind Networking Group
‘Ask A Vegan’ Coffee mornings (veg curious people ask experienced vegans questions and receive help, support and guidance)
We are not limited to these ideas. Feel free to contact us if you have something you’d like to do.
