For our next meetup, we are going for something new: a Mystery Hunt. For those that have participated in the Street Art tour, this will be familiar scenery. What this event ultimately will be, when it is finished, is a mixture of a walk, like we have done quite a few before, 'the Amazing Race' (but then only the fun parts and without the stress) and a detective game.
As some of you have already done the 'walk' part, we will only focus on the 'hunt' this time. So, what is the hunt about? You are in teams of 3-5, and will follow the route as described in the Mystery (more info on the day). There are several tasks you need to accomplish, and clues to be found, with quite a bit of variety.
There will be no guide with you, but instead one overal 'huntmaster' who will lead the event and who can be contacted in certain ways during the event if need be. Some tasks have to be done in one specific place, others are roaming tasks.
Groups will be leaving at staggered times, depending on who finishes the first task the fastest, but you can always make up for time and surpass others teams. Find the clues, finish the tasks, and win the game!!
You may think this is not much info, but we do not want to give away too much. Some of it has to remain a surprise :)
We start at 9.00 at Saphan Taksin and should finish by midday or earlier, depending on how skilled your group is ;)
For this event, please bring 150 THB (cheaper than usual!!) for the huntmasters.
If you have any questions, you can always send a message or email. Enjoy the hunt!! :)
Since this event needs teams, we ask you to please only RSVP if you are certain that you can make it. If you sign up and then can't make it, your team will have fewer members.
You may notice that after each event our numbers go down ever so slightly, only to go up again even stronger. We are following a policy of 'three strikes and you're out'. The deadline to change your RSVP is Friday, 18.00. Changing your RSVP afterwards is the same as a no-show. Anyone who has not participated in a walk before and no-shows is marked and when someone has three marks, they will be removed from the group.
Our apologies if this sounds harsh. We really don't like to remove people but we prefer active members, rather than those that just sign up, RSVP and can't be bothered in the morning but leave others in the cold.
