Barcamp Lunch & Learn - Crowdfunding Your Startup

American Crowdfunding Association is a non-profit 501(c)3 (status pending) rooted in the 2012 Jumpstart Our Business Startups Act (the “JOBS Act”) which opened up the the possibility of two distinctive approaches for businesses to raise capital and to PUT AMERICANS BACK TO WORK! The recovery from the Great Recession is not fulfilled until our Americans are put back to work – and with implementation of the JOBS Act, this can become a real possibility.

Divina Westerfield

As the Manager of American Crowdfunding Association, Divina Westerfield has over thirty (30) years experience as an attorney, specifically in securities, real estate and business work to give these trainings.  She has also taught before at both University level and as a continuing legal education educator to other attorneys, and presents a highly interactive, on-point classes, combining her years of knowledge with her passion to teach small businesses how to grow.

    Great information! I didn't think any of the currently available online vehicles (e.g. Indiegogo, Kickstarter) were appropriate for our funding needs, and I learned that I was correct. I'll look forward to seeing what becomes available after the SEC publishes its final rules, and will appreciate the training to be offered by our speaker.
