Welcome to the Hearth and Hall, Bards of the Castle one and all!
We're new here!Join us!
Feel ye a yearning for times gone by, for stories of knights and bardic lore?
Come one and all to meet with us, bring instruments, pens, or just yourself...
We'll share music and poetry, (and eating and drinking)
and all those things that make life worth living!
Do you get "most likely to be a bard in a previous life" when you take a quiz?
Do you love listening to renaissance fair music, or to the songs from Lord of the Rings? Do you wish that you could experience the time of the bards, that would sit around the fireplace in the great hall, and tell stories in poem and song?
Regardless of if you'd just like to come and listen, or if you'd like to play, you're absolutely welcome either way. If you'd like to participate, you can play and sing some music (1-3 songs), or read a poem... any songs or poems that revolves around fantasy, and themes from medieval and renaissance times.
They may be your own songs or poetry, or some favorites - like an old Celtic ballad about gypsies or love lost at sea, or a fantasy themed song from Skyrim or LOTR... if you feel it, and it relates to a world with castles, ships, swords, possibly magic, it'll fit!
We have a mic, a sound board and small speakers, so come plug in your guitar, harp, or whatever!
Costuming is optional, but welcome - Britta wears a costume but many people won't, so either way, you'll fit right in.
We wish to meet you, noble bard -
Travel ye safe, to our fair lands!
