What we're about

This is 7th Season of Bards In The Woods, through 2018

We meet during several Sunday afternoons between first Sunday in March and last Sunday in October in public woodlands in counties Sligo, Roscommon, Leitrim, Cavan and Mayo.

Before our afternoon picnics, we share a light nature walk stroll to share plant and wildlife identification. This is followed by a poetry sharing session stop, and completed with the very popular fellowship of shared picnic.

Out afternoons are perfect for treehuggers, performing poets, storytellers, herbalists, forest bathers, and anyone who loves outdoor picnics.

We choose forests that have access to water such as being beside rivers, loughs, beaches or include holy wells within. It is ok to bring dogs to most meet-ups, as we love dogs, and our meetups are good for children over 6 years old who enjoy playing in nature, and often have their first poems to share too :-)
