Delaware’s third annual National Robotics Day event is on April 5, 2014 at Barclays on the Wilmington Riverfront!

The event is being put on by Forum to Advance Minorities in Engineering, Inc. (FAME, Inc.) in conjunction with iRobot Corp. and the National Robotics Week Advisory Council as part of National Robotics Week (April from the 5th through the 13th)

The purpose of National Robotics Week nationally, but, more specifically in Delaware is to highlight the growing importance of robotics in a wide variety of application areas and to emphasize its ability to inspire students while building their interest in technology and innovation.

The event will be hosted by Barclay’s Bank and shall begin with a panel discussion from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. and then culminate with an indoor “robotics block party” from 10:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

The event is open to the public but space is limited, so guests are asked to RSVP in advance and arrive at no later than 8:30am. You can RSVP online at

Barrel of Makers will be part of the robotics block party, so if you attend, stop by and say "hi!"

If you'd like to help man the booth for a bit, let us know, as we'd really appreciate it!
