Take time to quiet your mind and bring your awareness into your body in this meditation and mindful movement class. Each small group session includes:
-breath awareness mindfulness meditation (15 minutes)
-"body scan" meditation: bring attention to every area of the body (15 minutes)
-light body weight exercises for the entire body, focusing on mobility, mind-muscle connection, body awareness, mindful movement. (20 minutes approx)
-relaxation and reflection
About half of each one hour session is focused on meditation and the other half on movement. The mindful movements involved are slower tempo with attention to form and 'feel' vs intensity and effort.
