15 miles. Depart G&R at 7:45 AM (100 miles to trailhead). Hike on land donated by the Roaring Creek Water Company to Wyoming State Forest in Pennsylvania. Experience an old miner's trail nestled between continuous mountain chains. Exceptionally beautiful at this time of year. Moderate to strenuous hiking conditions. Sturdy hiking boots recommended. BATONA Hiking Club is more than a Meetup group. In existence since 1928, the Club welcomes a diverse group of people. Hike trails in Pennsylvania, Delaware and New Jersey. Opportunities for hike leadership and skill development are available. The Club also maintains sections of the Appalachian Trail, the Batona Trail, and the Horse-Shoe Trail. Most hikes are accessible via public transportation and carpool ($0.10/mile plus tolls) to and from trail heads. Dogs are not allowed on any hikes. Club membership is $3.00 annually.
