Urban Hike--Explore Muir Woods--Ferry & Shuttle Bus(Roundtrip) & Asian Food
Join us for a fun walk & exploration through Muir Woods. Take in one of the most beautiful, scenic views in the world on the Sausalito Ferry. Explore the magnificent redwoods in Muir Woods Park. Have a great time socializing while meeting new friends & enjoy lots of fun & laughter. Members in the group are always nice & friendly. We always have a lot of fun whenever we all get together with a couple of other meetup groups also invited. So join in on the fun! We look forward to seeing you there!
IMPORTANT NOTE: WE WILL MEET ON THE S.F. FERRY TO SAUSALITO DEPARTING @ 12:00 NOON -- MEET ON THE TOP DECK IN THE AFT(REAR) BY THE RAILS & STAIRS!
Before getting on the ferry, be sure to grab your lunches inside the vibrant Ferry Building Marketplace with a wide variety of food stalls, produce stores, delis, cafes, etc.
When we get to Sausalito, we will meet by the stone benches right along the Pier as you get out of the Ferry Terminal gates. We will do intros & meet & greets here. Here, we will just have enough time to grab water or coffee at the nearest touristy cafe & stop for a restroom break. Then, we head to the shuttle bus (45 mins) to Muir Woods where we will have a chance to explore the magnificent monumental redwoods for a few hours (apprx 3hrs). We will be staying on the paved trails that are pretty leveled, so no hiking boots are required but good walking shoes are advised. It's a large park, so you will get a pretty good workout. --The more fit members may hike the stairs & walkways along the hillsides of the park.-- Afterward, we head back to the ferry by shuttle bus & sail back to S.F. Downtown for some tasty Asian food around 6:30 pm.
-- This is an advanced beginners to intermediate walk. We will be going at a moderate pace. --
After Urban Hike: If 3 or more members are interested in going for dinner, then we will go to a local place in downtown after we return to S.F. via ferry.
