Explore & Hike Marin Headlands-Point Bonita Lighthouse/Coastal Trail(Bus)--Lunch

Join us for a fun exploration & hike through the beautiful & gorgeous Marin Headlands. Together, we will explore the eye-popping vistas from the breathtaking cliffs, magnificent breakers on the beaches, explosions of wildflowers, seasonal migrations of raptors & other avians. We will be exploring points of interest such as the Point Bonita Lighthouse, Rodeo Cove Beach & Lagoon & the coastal trail with lookout points of amazing views of the San Francisco Bay. Have a great time socializing while meeting new friends & enjoy lots of fun & laughter. Members in the group are always nice & friendly. We always have a lot of fun whenever we all get together with a couple of other meetup groups also invited. So join in on the fun! We look forward to seeing you there!

We will meet for coffee & a quick meet & greet. Please arrive no later than 12:30 pm. At this time, we head off to catch the express bus to Marin Headlands (20 min). When we arrive, we will stop for lunch before we start our hike. Then, we walk to find the lighthouse at the tip of a cliff which is unforgettable. First, we walk pass a dark cave before we get to an old suspension bridge high, which we cross above a rocky outcrop before we reach the old brick tower and huge lamp that helped guide mariners into the S.F. Bay. Then, we continue on to the Marin Headlands Visitor Center & hike towards Rodeo Lagoon & Beach for some amazing ocean views. From there, we hike to the top of the Coastal Trail to witness some of Marin Headlands most beautiful ocean vistas. We end the hike at a lookout point to see some of the most picturesque & breathtaking views of the San Francisco Bay. It's quite a distance & a few hills, so you will get a pretty good workout.

Can little dogs come along? I have a very sweet and well behaved pom, she is a ASPCA certified therapy dog (we go to nursing homes, etc. to visit people) so she doesn't bark or annoy people.
