Godless Perverts Book Club
Want to talk about books with other atheists interested in sexuality and social justice? Come to the Godless Perverts ( Club! We read and discuss a wide variety of books about atheism, religion, sexuality, gender, politics, social justice, activism, science, and more. The Godless Perverts Book Club meets at Borderlands Cafe (, 870 Valencia St. in San Francisco. We meet the third Tuesday of every month, 6:00 to 8:00 pm. It’s free: we ask that you buy food and/or drink to support the cafe if you can, but if you can't, please don’t let that stop you from attending. All orientations, genders, and kinks (or lack thereof) are welcome. Borderlands is on Valencia at 20th, near the 24th and Mission BART, and close to the parking garage on 21st and Bartlett between Valencia and Mission. We will be meeting at a large table in the back of the cafe: Godless Perverts presents and promotes a positive view of sexuality without religion, by and for sex-positive atheists, agnostics, humanists, and other non-believers. Godless Perverts is committed to feminism, diversity, inclusivity, and social justice. We seek to create safe and welcoming environments for all non-believers and believing allies who are respectful of the mission, and are committed to taking positive action to achieve this. Please let the moderators or other people in charge of any event know if you encounter harassment, racism, misogyny, transphobia, or other problems at our events. Hope to see you there!

What we're about

Public Group

This Meetup is a coalition of most of the Bay Area Freethought groups. We post our various meetings, hoping that people will find groups that suit their outlook. A number of Skeptical meetings are also posted here. We're an "umbrella" for a few locations at once: SF, North, East, and South Bays, and the Peninsula.

Some groups post their meetings as recurring, meaning you will see several meetings listed as upcoming. But most post their meetings a couple of weeks before the event. This can give the appearance that meetings are dominated by the groups with recurring events.
