Tuesday Salon in Menlo Park led by Erik Ulman

This wonderful salon, now in its 4th year, is led by noted composer and Stanford musicologist Erik Ulman. It's held in a residential section of Menlo Park, not far from Highway 101's Willow Road exit. We listened to and discussed the below-listed works in last month's salon, and will continue focusing on the second half of the 20th Century during the next 3 sessions, before adjourning for the summer. We've had some attrition recently, freeing up room for several new members. Our spring dates are : Tuesdays -- April 9, May 14, June 4. (Sorry--very short notice for tomorrow's salon.) This is not an official MeetUp event, but several participants are members of the Bay Area Classical MeetUp. Please let me know ASAP if you're interested in checking it out. There's a $20/event fee, and refreshments are provided.

Witold Lutoslawski:  Trois Poèmes d'Henri Michaux (Polish Radio Chorus and Orch, Lutoslawski) on EMI
John Cage:  Aria, from The Voice of Cathy Berberian on Wergo
Luciano Berio:  A-Ronne (Swingle II) on Decca
and Cornelius Cardew:  The Great Learning, on Bolt [4 CD]
