Sail aboard a classic wooden yacht & watch the sunset! BYOB and snacks to share!

It is as good as it sounds! For reals :)

Real sailing = no motoring at all (usually :) No exhaust or fumes, just the sounds of the wind in the rigging and waves against the hull!

Real sailing = the boat heeling over as we tack out of the marina and across SF Bay. Spray across the bow and all that stuff!

Real sailing = you can help if you want! Pull on the strings and crank on the thingy to make the sails do something!

Real sailing = you wearing a life jacket over your warm winter / water proof clothes!

Real sailing= sharing a bottle of wine and some snacks in the varnished cockpit of the boat before we set sail!

Check www.CaptDan.net!

The Boat: Feral is a 40th mahogany double ended sloop. She has raced and cruised all over the world in her 50 years since being built. She handles like the race boat she was designed to be but with her clipper bow and deep cockpit you will stay (mostly) dry and out of most of the wind. Think BMW sedan :)

Capt Dan: Capt Dan; that's me in the third person, as in "Capt Dan is a great freaking guy!" I've been sailing and chartering for years (with a short 15 year stint working inside) and I do this for a living because I really like it. Check my reviews on Yelp and TripAdvisor or just ask me. I'll tell you how great of a time you will have!

I do this for a living because I love doing it. I'll make sure you will have a good time too!

It gets cold on the water! I recommend wearing ski type clothes or at least layers with a wind / water proof outer shell.

There is no 'head' on Feral! That means no bathroom. For a couple of hours people can usually 'hold it'. But there is the bucket if you need it :)

For more details check this link:

Space on the boat is limited!!  Please be sure you can go before clicking 'rsvp'!

We will meet at 6:30 at the gate to 'E' Dock on the north side of the Berkeley Marina. Text me at[masked] and I will come up and let you in!

Good food to bring is food that is easy to share and easy to eat with your hands. Sushi, brownies, cheese and crackers, that sort of thing. NO PICKLES OR OLIVES ON THE BOAT!

Sali the Sailing Dog will be on board!

COST:  $40 per person which is the GroupOn price!

Shoot, I just saw the trip ends on Sunday, not at Saturday. SORRY! You can take me from the list and someone can use my spot. Enjoy!

The description says only few hours, even though end time is Sunday.....there is no bathroom on boat....and he didn't ask us to bring our sleeping gear.....so I think that "Sunday" is a typo...it has to be Saturday 9pm.
