Michael Terpin CoFounder BitAngels, the world’s first angel network for digital currency startups, in May, 2013, and now serves as its chairman. The distributed angel network currently has more than 600 members, and it has made more than 25 investments in bitcoin and cryptocurrency companies with two exits and several follow-on rounds. Terpin is also co-founder and managing partner of bCommerce Labs, the first technology incubator fund focused on e-commerce companies for bitcoin and the blockchain, and a partner at Flight VC, where he started the AngelList Bitcoin Syndicate with legendary super-angel Gil Penchina.
Jonathan Haas CoFounder/CEO Bramah Systems LLC, leading security audits for smart contracts. Previously, Haas was the Head of Security Auditing at Quantstamp, a Y Combinator backed company, where he led the development of Quantstamp's growing audit practice. Prior, Haas designed and implemented multiple highly acclaimed static analysis tools at various companies, including Apple, Amazon, and Snapchat. He presents at conferences around the world, as well as leading roundtable discussions for security professionals on risk management, smart contract security and insider threat.
Guido Appenzeller Chief Product Officer Yubico where he focuses on product development and strategy to aid in making strong authentication truly ubiquitous. Prior to Yubico, Appenzeller held several high-level positions including CTO of Cloud and Networking at VMWare, Co-Founder of Big Switch Networks, and Co-Founder and CTO at Voltage Security. With his vast experience leading companies and teams through high-growth phases, Appenzeller also served as Consulting Professor at Stanford where he led team that developed the OpenFlow standard. Appenzeller was named a top Technology Leader on the MIT TR35, a Technology Pioneer by the World Economic Forum, and one of the 100 Most Intriguing Entrepreneurs by Goldman Sachs. He holds a Ph.D. from Stanford University and M.S. (Diploma) from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology.
Lance R. Vick Security Researcher/President/Founder Hashbang I am a security researcher and software architect specializing in applied cryptography, physical security, supply chain integrity, side channel attack mitigation, hardware security modules, and web service hardening. Over the past 20+ years I have been involved this space I have started multiple companies, designed and deployed hundreds of projects, and solved problems for many Fortune 500 companies. Currently I do security R&D in the fintech industry, and help maintain the #! community which focuses on freely teaching security, privacy, and self hosting to anyone interested.
Moderator: Robert Boyd VP Telegraph Hill Software, a software engineering and technology leadership consulting company, based in San Francisco, serving clients primarily in financial services, healthcare and medical technology. Robert started his programming career at an early age as a 6502 assembly language programmer for machine control computers.
