Taking improv for the first time? This is a great place to start. Play fun improv games that unleash your imagination, confidence, and spontaneity. Amaze yourself as you create stories and scenes on the spot. Play together with fun people who like to laugh. Enjoy a supportive environment that promotes cooperation and positive thinking. Can improv really change your life? You bet! In this series of workshops, you’ll learn improv skills and values that can enhance your joy and self confidence in all kinds of real world situations: casual conversations, dating, interviews, presentations and more. Gain poise and presence, improve body language awareness, and enhance your capacity for spontaneity, teamwork and meaningful connection. Fun and supportive environment. This advanced level course dives deep into the craft of improv with focus on storytelling, character, relationship and acting to extend your skills in short and long form improv. Direct and tailored feedback will be offered for each student. Recommended for those who have demonstrated sufficient proficiency in our Improv 201 or by permission of instructor. Why should adults have all the fun? Improv for Youth offers a fun, supportive environment that promotes cooperation, confidence, and positive thinking. We will focus on and develop skills in listening, teamwork, creativity, and spontaneity. During each session, students will work in small, independent groups or as one big group to explore improv games and exercises. Expect to laugh – a lot! All students are expected to be active, respectful listeners when they are participating as the audience for their peers. No previous experience is necessary. All sign ups are done online.
