Details

WHO SHOULD ATTEND?

If you are an HR or Contingent Workforce management professional (or an aligned professional, researcher, or student) interested in the development and use of “online workforce,” this MeetUp will allow you to network with peers and experts as well as achieve and contribute to a greater understanding of online workforce and how businesses can take advantage of it.

To attend you will need to register for the MeetUp Group and RSVP. Participation is free.

WHAT’S IT ABOUT?

Various kinds of online workforce platforms (as different as Elance and Crowdflower) have begun to offer new kinds of workforce solutions to talent-starved companies. While start-ups and younger, smaller businesses have already gone “all in” to leveraging “online workforce” platforms, larger enterprises are at an earlier stage of adoption and face different challenges of moving up the adoption curve.

Unlike smaller companies, larger companies may have to deal with a larger set of issues, including internal awareness and culture, compliance requirements, infrastructure, et al. However, the benefits of accessing and engaging online workforce are enormous, and more and more enterprise adoption seems almost certain. Enterprises that successfully adopt may find significant advantage in their competitive markets.

PANEL/DISCUSSION

In this MeetUp, there will be a presentation of what we
mean by online workforce and what types of platforms and types of online work are available today. More importantly, there will be an in-depth panel discussion of “the future of adoption by larger enterprises.”

• Jon Diller, VP Enterprise Solutions, Elance (2007-present)

• Jeff Phelps, COO, iWorldGlobal/Nelson Compliance (2011-present)
