Pinnacles National Monument Mapping Party and Hike

GPS units available for loan, along with instructions for use.

What's a mapping party?

New and prospective members are especially invited to enjoy an easy pace hike. Get to know the Guadalupe Regional Group, Loma Prieta Chapter and Sierra Club. We will start on the East side then hike over to the West side for lunch. Easy paced 6 miles and 500 foot elevation gain. Bring lunch, water, hiking boots, and rain gear if needed. Meet at the visitor center/store and pay entrance fee of up to $10. Heavy rain cancels. Two car pool locations: 8:30 AM at Los Gatos Municipal Parking Lot (Highway 9 between University Ave & Santa Cruz Ave, behind Chase bank). Or at 9am at the McDonalds parking lot in the Gilroy Outlets. The outing begins and ends at the trail head. Carpooling is not the responsibility of the Sierra Club.

Co-listed Sierra Club, Loma Prieta Chapter, Guadalupe Regional Group.

No post-hike data transfer and uploading because of the remote location.  Data can be e-mailed to participants, along with instructions for using the OpenStreetMap wiki

Sorry folks, I hurt my foot walking my dogs last night so I won't be there. I waited to see how it feels this morning but no luck.
