Dhikr of the Two Niles with
Imam Bilal Hyde
Please join us for a Sufi gathering of Dhikrullah, which is the reciting and chanting of the Most Beautiful Names of God which polish the mirror of our heart and reflects the light of the Divine Secrets contained within.
Leading us will be Imam Bilal, who has pursued traditional Sufism for 30 years. Having traveled from America to study the Sufi way in the Sudan, Egypt, and Ethiopia, he was trained as an imam in Mecca and Medina. He currently lives in Albany, California. He teaches classes on Sufism and the inner teachings and meanings of the Qur'an, and leads retreats throughout the United States.
This dhikr is likely to be primarily seated; you are welcome to bring a cushion and a blanket or prayer rug (it's a wood floor). There will be chairs for those who prefer them. We hope to have some tea and refreshments after the dhikr; you are welcome to bring finger food to share.
A donation of $10, $20, or whatever you can give would be appreciated; no one turned away for lack of funds.
Please arrive before 8:00pm, to be seated by 8:00pm.
