Please describe your involvement with Wikipedia or any other Wikimedia project, if any. ("none" is just fine!)

Participated in the US Public Policy Initiative as a Berkeley course Facilitator in fall 2010 and as a campus ambassador in spring 2011. I am now a regional ambassador and the Wikipedia Ambassador Program, which is expanding to support Wikipedia use for teaching and learning of all kinds (not just Public Policy).

Please share your expectations of this group, so we can best match our meetup contents to your preference!

I think this is a great idea to get Wikipedians and interested folks in the area to come together. I would especially love it if this group collaborated with the Wikipedia Club at Berkeley and tried to bring students in (especially those participating in a Wikipedia-editing course on campus).

Hi, I'm a Wikipedia Regional Ambassador for California and Hawaii! Great to hear you're starting this meetup group, do you know of the Wikipedia Club at Berkeley? http://en.wikiped...
