I love this restaurant - an upscale waterfront fine dining experience at extremely reasonable prices where all the profits go towards the Delancey Street Foundation, a community self-help program assisting people in getting back on their feet. The restaurant is run and staffed by people trying to learn the skills they need to reincorporate back into mainstream society. We'll dine while enjoying fabulous views of the Bay Bridge, the Bay, Yerba Buena, and the East Bay. Great food and impeccable service, they earn 4 stars on Yelp based on almost 1000 reviews. You'd easily pay at least twice as much to dine at a similarly located SF restaurant with the same atmosphere, quality, service, and view.
They serve beer and wine by the glass or bottle. But since they only have an $8 corkage fee you might like to bring a bottle of your own wine. If we have enough bottles we could even share the wines and split the costs.
For those who are interested we will start the evening by meeting for drinks at the Hi Dive Bar across the street at Pier 28 1/2. If Hi Dive is too busy, as it can sometimes be, Reds Java House next door at Pier 30 also has a bar and a nice outside patio, so if you don't find us at Hi Dive look for us at Reds. I've posted it as a separate Meetup for 6:30.
BTW, I don't have a smart phone so I won't be able to check any Meetup messages or comments after mid-afternoon on Friday, June 20th, so if you need to contact me later than that you can call or text me on my "dumb cell phone" #[masked]
