Announcing a new Meetup for Bay Area Cycling (Mountain & Road)!

What: 4th of July Weekend in Tahoe - Road and Mountain

Planning to go Tahoe area for Independance Day Weekend

Friday: Road ride 40 to 50 miles ride around the Truckee area, moderate pace with some hills

Saturday Mt. bike ride: Hole in the Ground
Distance as rode : 18 Miles
Climbing Distance : ~2100'
Difficulty : 7 (of 10)
Trail Type : 50% Singletrack / 30% Pavement / 20% Dirt Roads
Cardio : Strenuous + Altitude
Hole in the Ground is a great Sierra Nevada trail filled with plenty of technical riding. If you are an intermediate rider looking for a place to work on your technical skills this is a great trail. Advanced riders will enjoy this trail as well and the granite areas adjacent to the trail make a great play area.

Sunday: North Star Mt. bike
This season Northstar? Resort boasts more than 100 miles of trails for mountain biking with many new trails including, LiveWire. You won't find a larger bike park in Northern California!

we'll be staying close to Soda Spring resort on hwy 40 at a lodge with basic accomodations $15 a night, (thanks Colin for this great deal!)
