An autonomous database is a cloud database that uses machine learning to eliminate the human labor associated with database tuning, security, backups, updates, and other routine management tasks traditionally performed by database administrators (DBAs).

Oracle Autonomous Data Warehouse is built around the market leading Oracle database and comes with fully automated data warehouse specific features that deliver outstanding query performance. This lab walks you through the steps to get started using the Oracle Autonomous Data Warehouse (ADW) on Oracle Infrastructure Cloud (OCI).

You will learn:

1) Learn how to deploy a data warehouse in a matter of minutes. Run workloads with only a few clicks without any manual tuning.
2) Scale storage and compute resources independently with database services running and with no downtime.
3) Run faster analytics on diverse data sets and have power for things like faster visual analytics and predictive pattern management.

This hands-on workshop is for all machine learning experts, data scientists, DBAs, and developers who want to learn how a self-driving, self-repairing, and a self-securing data warehouse works on highly performant infrastructure.

Oracle crew member who is going to take us through this will be Sai Valluri, Sr. PMM at Oracle, and he will be supported by a few other members from his team.
