I'm teaching an online course in Web Video at Foothill College for Winter Quarter that may interest you. It's a project-based video production class covering narrative, documentary and experimental techniques. We use Etudes, an interactive instruction portal featuring video and text modules, discussion groups, personal messaging and live face-to-face webcasting. There's 24/7 access so you can work on your own schedule and at your own pace.
YouTube and Vimeo integrate seamlessly with
Etudes, allowing for exploration of what works online, how to find your
audience, and what formats are best for displaying your projects. The
class functions as a laboratory for
developing web content.
Online Registration is available until Jan. 5, with the course running from Jan. 6 to Mar. 28. Registration fees are $47 for the quarter ($11 of which is voluntary, another $10 can be waived if you live outside the district), plus $31 per class unit. What a deal! You can check the Course Wiki for more information (or email me).
