Photos Up for Recent Events. I posted some photos in Facebook featuring some of the people at our recent Short Films and Business Holiday party with the CrowdFund Film Society on December 5 at https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.620418771355113.1073741852.457651064298552&type=1. There are also photos where I participated with MMTBs big networking events in November and December at the Bubble Lounge and Sugar Café at

Or go the Changemakers Publishing on Facebook (http://www.facebook.com/changemakerspublishing) and go to the last two photo albums I posted. (You can join the page too by clicking “like”). Finally, I created a photo video showing presentations on filmmaking at various events which is on YouTube at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QLpXbBGekl4.
Next Film Exchange December 17. Our next Film Exchange will be on December 17, since this has been a busy week for other film and business community parties. Get and give feedback on whatever you are working on – a script, new idea, DVD of your latest projects, or ask questions about the film industry. Or just come to see what others are doing and give feedback. No charge since this is a group for sharing ideas. It’s posted on three Meet-Up groups where you can RSVP – Bay Area Film and TV Connection, San Francisco Film Industry, and Film and Business Connection. But only RSVP on one of these so I have an accurate count of who’s coming.
Plans for Next Year. We’ll be continuing the monthly Film Exchanges. Plus since there has been continuing interest, I’m hoping to turn the Film and Business Networking events into a monthly event. Currently, we’ll be meeting again at the School for Digital Filmmaking, and the plan is to have 3 or 4 filmmakers present short films of up to 10 minutes and then talk to the group and answer questions for about 5 minutes. If you would like to present, email me at email@example.com and send me a link, along with your phone number. Films need to be on a playable DVD (not a data file) or have a link on YouTube or Vimeo for the screening. As before the cost will be $5 for an early bird RSVP, $10 online, and $15 at the door. I like using EventBrite, which also does its own promotion, but if there’s enough interest, I can set up a PayPal or Amazon account to handle payments with RSVPs.
I’m also hoping to start a discussion with a featured speaker talking about the film industry. I’m tentatively planning the first one with an attorney or two attorneys to talk about copyright and other legal issues for filmmakers.
Have a great holiday, and best wishes for the New Year.
