Avoid all the security issues of maintaining your own password storage and authentication with or without having your web site hosted on Azure. That is, allow your users to be able to login to your site by authenticating with Google, Facebook, Yahoo or Windows Live authorization services. In this presentation, I’ll show you how, with Azure Mobile Services and very simple API calls you can create that authentication. You will not have to add complex code code to your site to support these 4 other methods. Specifically, I’ll show how I’ve added to the existing Silicon Valley Code Camp web site logins using these 4 OAuth providers using Azure Mobile Services while SVCC is not hosted on Azure (try it now! (https://www.siliconvalley-codecamp.com/Account/Login)). I’ll also explain the basics of how OAuth works. For years, I’ve never quite understood what OAuth does for me. Come to this session and I’ll share what I’ve learned!
