What we're about

EVERYONE needs to recover from something. Everyone encounters moments in their day and life where they need a hand up; not a hand out. A hand out only serves to further someone’s current mindset, but a hand up allows them to TAKE CONTROL and CHANGE THEIR LIFE.

Have you ever felt insignificant to help make a positive impact on this world? If you have, you are not alone and this is the group for you. We're looking for people who want to make a difference, but may not know where to start. We have many weekly and monthly activities where you can connect with other like minded individuals to serve the greater good for people who need help.

Be Kind is a community that transforms hopelessness into endless possibility. We believe we can meet someone where they are to provide sustainable resources & illuminate pathways to personal restoration which will ripple into community restoration.

For more information about BeKind2People, please visit our website: http://www.bekind2people.org .

We are currently partnered with Serenity Village Community Church, until our own stand alone facility is ready.

Curb Side Pickup - Food Outreach

4100 Douglas Dr N

Come join us and see the direct impact YOU can make on the lives of those who are still in need, during this COVID-19 crisis. https://www.facebook.com/bekind2people/videos/529147424408147/?t=4 We are giving away free car loads of groceries every Thursday and Friday, to anyone in need. We have revamped our operation strategy to avoid the long lines. People now make an appointment online to choose one of the many 30-minute time slots from 10am to 5pm on Thursdays and Fridays. We have many other non-profits and churches picking up food from us, for their communities as well. We really could use your help on Thursdays and Fridays, from 9am to 6pm. But, any amount of time on either or both of those days would be welcomed. No need to call or RSVP, but that would be helpful; just show up and someone can train you in on what may be going on in that particular moment. Kiley Benson, Chad Carruthers or Angie Ayala are the point people at these events, but if you have any questions or would like to call to RSVP, feel free to call me at (763)[masked] or email me directly at [masked]. Experience the reward of helping others, alongside like minded individuals, when “Be Kind 2 People” is the mindset of all involved.

Homeless Shelter Meals

4100 Douglas Dr N

Unfortunately due to COVID-19 this event is strictly delivery now, but we can use delivery volunteers for this bi-monthly event. Please contact me, Justin at[masked] if your are interested. I'll change the description of this event, once this event is allowed to go back to serving the people at this shelter. Thank you for your patience and understanding. We are meals on wheels. Help serve at two different shelters, Stepping Stones in Anoka and St. Stephens in Minneapolis. We prep the meal at 4100 Douglas Dr. in Crystal around 11:00am all the way until 4:00pm. Their are 2 different groups that go serve these shelters. Stepping Stones is located at 3300 N. 4th Ave. building #14, Anoka, MN 55303 and starts serving around 6:00pm - 7:00pm. St. Stephens Shelter is located at 2211 Clinton Ave. Minneapolis, MN 55404 and starts serving around 7:00pm - 8:00pm. We go to both places every 1st and 4th Thursday of each month. Meet at 4100 Douglas Dr. first. No dress code is required and serving gloves will be provided. We serve the meal to about 30-60 residents at each facility, fellowship with the residents and do some light clean up. If you are unable to make it to 4100 Douglas Dr. in Crystal, but would still like to serve. You can just show up at either location and let them know you are there to help serve the meals. We can always use help prepping the meal too, if that fits your schedule better, rather than serving the meal. Just go to 4100 Douglas Dr. in Crystal between 11:00am and 4:00pm. This is a great way to connect with people who need your love and support!
