Truly raw (unpasteurized) organic almonds from Sicily now being sold at the Co-op...

Hi everyone, just wanted to reach out and let you know that the Lexington Co-op now carries truly raw (unpasteurized) organic almonds from Sicily. The Co-op responded (almost immediately) to our request for unpasteurized almonds so we should all make sure to express our gratitude to the staff (in particularly Manny, Matt the merchandising/produce manager, and Tim Bartlett, the general manager). Not to mention...considering these organic almonds are unpasteurized the cost is pretty fantastic...$10.99/lb

Thank you so much,Aaron..for requesting the Coop to do this!..

sometimes , (when it is what we have been used to), we just get our foods online..because we wonder if we are just in the minority, requesting RAW, organic products from our local sources.
Now that there are more of us who are vocal and committed to being totally raw, we will actually carry more weight when we want to make special orders..which is a good thought, and positive outlook of our joining together in our raw journey.

Thank you for bringing it to our attention. !

Hi, to All!

I have idea... I found online Nut Growers Association...
And they Sell Nuts as Seeds... meaning - it MUST be Raw!
Maybe we could contact them and Buy in Bulk our Nuts as "Seeds"?

Also, wondering if Canada pasteurizing their Nuts?
We could buy from there.

Q. I know, the new Law requires all Nuts in US to be Pasteurised - is this applies to In-Shell Nuts too?
Seems illogical... since In-Shell - are Naturally protected by it's own Shell...

Anyone have Answers?
