It seems that winter has finally broken, with 26C predicted in April, so its time to get this group out of hibernation.
As you are probably aware - BeachPeople is based along the beaches around Bournemouth and Poole as there is so much activity on the water, especially in the massive natural harbour (kitesurfing is huge, and SUP is very popular).
I have chosen Parkstone as the location as it's on the Waterloo line direct (under two hours and £39 return with a Network Card) - it has a good vibe with new venues opening up, plus you can walk to the harbour in ten minutes and Sandbanks beach in twenty ish.
The Ox is the major hotel there with buckets of character and a great pub with a real fire to boot - you can walk from the station to the Ox in 5 minutes.
We will be welcoming new members to the Ocean Sports Club on Friday April 5th from 5pm and you are all welcome - here's what just went out to the Club:
The Ox Hotel has a new Thai chef and so to mark the occasion (as well as possibly the end of winter) I thought a New Members' night eating Thai table food around the fire might be nice.
11 rooms are currently available in the hotel - we have a few reserved until 28th March- priced from £50 by phoning the hotel directly on[masked] (mention BeachPeople). Limited parking is available.
