Group Membership Policy

Beantown Bridge - Group Membership Policy

There are now only two "RSVPs": COUNT ME IN and NO THANKS. Please do not RSVP "Yes" if you are not sure you can make it. After you RSVP, if something changes, please be sure to change your RSVP and use the comments to communicate with the rest of the group. Bridge games require a specific number of people, so it is a big deal to sign up for an event and not attend. Event descriptions may have specific attendance policies in their event description, so please read the description and follow those specific attendance policies.

Although we are inclusive and welcome members from all walks of life, we actively try to make sure that all members fit in and contribute to the group in some positive way. We take the physical and online privacy and security of our members very seriously.

This is a public group, and we understand your need for privacy, but a profile picture is strongly suggested so that the event hosts can recognize you when you come to events. Profiles that indicate you are not a real, "in the flesh" human being will be declined.

Members reported to have abused, disrespected, harassed and/or spammed any other member will be removed from our group. Please contact Jimmy if you have a issue to report.

We focus on having fun and enjoying our time together but in the event that there is a conflict, the following guidelines apply:

  • If there is a conflict between two members at an event, the event organizer will serve as the mediator for the issue.
  • If there is a conflict between a member and an event organizer or two event organizers, the group organizer will serve as mediator for the issue. In the event that the group organizer is not the appropriate person, she/he will recruit another event organizer to assist.
  • If the conflict involves the group organizer, the event organizer for the event will serve as mediator for the issue or another event organizer will step in if appropriate.
